Effective August 31st, 2009 the Fund’s Benchmark was changed from the Nesbitt Burns Small Cap Index to the S&P/TSX Small Cap Index. The S&P/TSX Small Cap Index was introduced as it better reflects the universe of securities held within the Fund’s portfolio. A blended index has been used for the 10 year reporting period as the S&P/TSX Small Cap Index has not been in existence for this entire period.

A blended index consisting of the BMO Nesbitt Burns Small Cap Index from July 1, 1999 to January 31, 2000, and the S&P/TSX Small Cap Index from February 1, 2000 to June 30, 2009 is used for the 10 year period.
