Sceptre Investment Counsel Limited Announces Promotions


TORONTO, ONTARIO – January 18, 2010 – The Board of Directors of Sceptre Investment Counsel Limited (TSX:SZ), a leading independent Canadian money management firm, today announced the following promotions of investment personnel:

John H. Bai, CFA to Managing Director (Canadian Equities)
John joined Sceptre in 2005 as a member of our Global Equities Team
and in 2007 moved to the Canadian Equity Team as a Portfolio Manager.


Michael Chan, CFA to Managing Director (Small Cap Equities)
Michael joined Sceptre in 2008 as Vice-President & Portfolio Manager
specializing in Small Cap Canadian Equities.


Sunil Shah, CFA to Managing Director (Fixed Income)
Sunil joined Sceptre in 2006 as a Vice-President within our Fixed Income Team.

The above promotions recognize the contribution over the past several years of these individuals to the ongoing success of the company.
