Paul Valois, FCSI
Vice-President, Senior Portfolio Manager
Paul Valois joined Sceptre in 2007 as Vice-President and Senior Portfolio Manager for the Private Asset Management Group. Prior to that, he held a similar position with Legg Mason's Private Client Group, which Sceptre acquired in 2007. Paul provides investment management services to Sceptre's high net worth clients in Quebec and eastern Canada.
Paul began his career in 1969 as a bond trader. In 1974, he joined Royal Trust as a fixed income analyst and became an institutional portfolio manager the following year. He also served as a member of the asset mix, Canadian equity, and bond committees. From 1981 to 1992 he was a Vice-President and Director with Levesque Beaubien and later Richardson Greenshields managing their institutional equity groups in Quebec. He was a private client portfolio manager with the Royal Trust/Royal Bank group from 1992 to 1998 before joining Legg Mason Canada Inc. in 1999.
